We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Workplace Operations Manager to join a fast-growing technology firm, taking on a strategic role within a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. This position will be responsible for leading the continued development, scalability and effectiveness of the firm’s workplace function, ensuring it evolves in line with the wider business as it continues to grow.

The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, solutions-focused and confident operating at a strategic level, with the ability to understand business requirements and translate these into effective, practical workplace solutions. Working closely with senior leadership, People, HR, IT and external partners, they will oversee the workplace function, drive continuous improvement and ensure the business has the infrastructure, systems and processes required to scale successfully. This role is office based.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and help implement workplace strategies aligned with the company’s growth plans, culture and wider business objectives
  • Design, build and establish processes and policies that support current and future workplace requirements ensuring strong standards across multiple locations
  • Liaise with senior leadership, People and IT teams on strategies, capacity planning and expansion projects
  • Provide strategic oversight of workplace operations, working alongside Office Management and Front of House teams to ensure consistent high standards
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, using data and operational insights to enhance efficiency, space utilisation and resource planning
  • Lead planning projects, including office expansions, relocations, space optimisation and new site launches
  • Handle workplace vendor strategy, including procurement, contract negotiations, supplier relationships and ongoing performance management
  • Handle health, safety and regulatory requirements
  • Take ownership of workplace budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency
  • Develop procurement strategies across to ensure strong commercial value
  • Collaborate with People and HR teams to develop workplace experience, ensuring a productive and supportive environment benefitting collaboration and employee engagement
  • Work closely with IT to assess and implement scalable workplace systems and technology that improve efficiency, reporting and operational visibility
  • Act as a senior point of contact for complex workplace, facilities and operational issues

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in a senior Workplace Operations role, ideally within a fast-growing, scale-up organisation
  • A strong track record of developing and scaling workplace functions while overseeing office expansions within high-growth environments
  • Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets, procurement, contracts and external supplier relationships
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and able to influence decisions around workplace strategy and business growth
  • Strategic and forward-thinking, with the ability to anticipate future business needs and develop scalable solutions
  • Highly organised and a solutions-focused individual, with excellent attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Comfortable using data and insights to inform workplace decisions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Strong understanding of workplace technology, systems and operational processes
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other departments and external stakeholders
