Asset and Configuration Co-ordinator - 3 days on-site - Inside IR35
We are looking for an experienced Asset & Configuration Coordinator to join a large-scale, complex technology and service environment during an important period of service transition and handback.
This role will provide additional capability across Asset, Configuration and wider Service Management functions, helping to maintain accurate asset and configuration data while supporting business-as-usual operations and transition activities.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and improve Asset Registers, CMDBs and Configuration Management Systems

Manage asset and configuration records throughout the full life cycle

Ensure the accuracy, integrity and quality of asset and configuration data
-
Support asset audits, reporting, stock management and disposals
-
Investigate and resolve discrepancies and historical data-quality issues
-
Develop and maintain procedures, processes and supporting documentation
-
Support governance and continual service improvement initiatives
-
Assist with service transition and handback activities, including process capture and knowledge transfer
-
Validate asset and configuration information ahead of transition and handover
-
Support the onboarding of new teams and help ensure continuity of service
-
Provide accurate configuration information to support Incident, Problem, Change, Release and Service Transition Management

Produce reporting and analysis for service, project and customer stakeholders
-
Support governance meetings, audits and customer reviews
-
Work closely with Service Delivery, Service Transition, Technical and Project teams, suppliers and customer stakeholders
Essential Skills & Experience

ServiceNow, Service Manager or equivalent platforms

Advanced Microsoft Excel

Asset/configuration reporting and auditing

ITIL-aligned service management environments

Stakeholder and supplier management

Data analysis and reconciliation

Working within complex service delivery environments
Desirable Experience

ITIL Foundation or higher

Service transition or service handback programmes

Rail, transport, infrastructure or managed service environments

ISO 20000

Database administration

Customer governance and service reviews
