Data Analyst
Job Title: Data Analyst Contract: 6 to 9 Month Contract – Available for Immediate Start Hours: Full Time, 37.5hours, Monday to Friday Location: Solihull (hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days working at home)Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rated), onsite free parking, birthday leave, salary sacrifice schemes, auto enrolment pension scheme and onsite subsidised catering. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Analyst to join our client, a well-established and forward-thinking business based in Solihull, for a 6–9-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic role for a detail-oriented and technically skilled individual who thrives in a data-driven environment and enjoys delivering smart, scalable solutions that support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will be a confident and analytical professional with strong experience in reporting, data modelling, and Power BI, providing vital support to both business-as-usual activities and ongoing project work. Working closely with cross functional teams and external partners, you’ll play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful insights, maintaining reporting tools and structures, and driving greater efficiency through automation and data solutions. - Take ownership of incoming data and reporting requests, acting as the central point of contact for analysis needs across the business.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand data requirements, develop clear solutions, and gain sign-off before implementation.
- Build and maintain clean, structured data models and dashboards to support consistent reporting across departments.
- Use Power BI, Power Query, and DAX to design intuitive reports and visualisations that drive insight and decision-making.
- Develop and roll out Power Apps to streamline internal workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Help shape and manage data storage structures, ensuring reporting tools are efficient and scalable.
- Monitor systems performance, conduct routine health checks, and escalate any issues where necessary.
- Prioritise multiple workstreams effectively, balancing project deadlines, day-to-day support, and ad hoc analysis.
- Investigate the root causes of key data-related issues and provide solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced data or reporting environment.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and experience with Microsoft Copilot, Jet Reporting, and UAT processes (Desirable).
- Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Confident communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
