Connected Car Portfolio Specialist

New contract available to join a luxury car makers Connected Car R&D Portfolio Planning Team. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of digital transformation in the automotive sector, based at our Crewe campus with flexible hybrid working.

Reporting to the Connected Car Portfolio Strategy & Planning Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering a competitive connected car service portfolio. You’ll drive strategic, customer-focused growth proposals and enhance portfolio management processes aligned with pre-PEP/PEP frameworks.

This role offers a chance to influence future vehicle features and customer experiences in one of the most exciting and fast-evolving areas of automotive technology.

Attractive hourly rate (outside IR35)

Current end date 31/1/2026 - likely to extend

35 hours per week

Hybrid - 2 days on site per week (flexible on days)

Possible international travel

Key Responsibilities:

Own and maintain the Connected Car Portfolio roadmap and master data (CC portfolio tracker).

Facilitate cross-functional alignment through technical and market data analysis.

Act as the central point of contact for managing connected car requirements (on-board & off-board), including triage and prioritisation.

Support MY29-30 portfolio gap analysis, product-market fit assessments, and EPIC backlog coordination.

Conduct competitor benchmarking and feature analysis, including regional insights (e.g., China).

Lead the Connected Car Innovation Hub, managing input gathering, documentation, and prioritisation.

Organise and support the bi-weekly Lean Portfolio Management forum, including agenda setting and action tracking.

Your Profile:

Degree qualified (Engineering or Economics) with solid experience in product planning and program management within the automotive sector, with a focus on digitalisation and electrification

Proven ability to translate customer and business insights into technical solutions

Broad knowledge of connected car technologies and market trends

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to synthesise cross-functional contexts.

Strong background in customer data analysis, process design, and requirements management.

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative mindset

Experience working in cross-functional, global teams

Familiarity with digital innovation frameworks and product discovery methods.

Agile working experience, including tools like JIRA and Confluence

Strong prioritisation skills and a can-do attitude with change management experience.
