Datacentre Operator | CardiffAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Datacentre Operator to join an operations team in Cardiff on a 6-month contract inside IR35. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Datacentre Operator to work within a dynamic environment managing critical infrastructure and job scheduling operations.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Datacentre Operato r , you will be responsible for managing and monitoring job schedules, ensuring smooth operations across our datacentre environment. You'll work with scheduling tools, execute operational procedures, and maintain system reliability through 12-hour shift patterns.Essential Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Datacentre Operator or in similar operations rolesStrong background in operations and datacentre environmentsHands-on experience using schedulers and running job schedules (Control-M preferred)Good understanding of JCL (Job Control Language)Proficiency in Korn shell scriptingKnowledge of Linux and UNIX commandsBasic knowledge of Oracle database structuresUnderstanding of ITIL fundamentalsWhat We Offer£300 per day rate6-month contract (inside IR35)Onsite working in CardiffFlexible working options available upon completion of trainingOpportunity to work with industry-standard tools and technologiesLocation & Working ArrangementThis Datacentre Operator position is based onsite in Cardiff.
