Full Stack Software Engineer – AI

Full Stack Software Engineer – AI | London (Hybrid – 2 days per week in-office) | £80,000 - £85,000

The Mission: Moving from Web-First to AI-First:

This company generates massive volumes of critical research data, covering everything from oil price impacts to global market trends. They are currently undergoing a major architectural shift to ensure their users—such as bank traders—interact with this data not just through traditional

websites, but via autonomous AI agents and Co-pilots.

As an AI Full Stack Developer, you will be at the forefront of rebuilding the platform's entire architecture to be AI-first. You will help transition the service from a "Web/API-first" model to one driven by intelligent, autonomous workflows.

The Full Stack Software Engineer will be required to:

  • Architect Autonomous Agents: Design and build agents and MCP servers to automate complex research and content generation workflows, such as auto-generating charts and reports.
  • Full Stack Execution: Maintain a "Full Stack" mindset with a split of roughly 70% Python and 30% React/Typescript, picking up standard frontend or backend tasks whenever required.
  • Implement RAG & LLMs: Work with custom LLM wrappers, prompts, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) rather than training base models from scratch.
  • Direct Infrastructure: Use your expertise to direct the DevOps team on the specific infrastructure needs required for AI at scale.
  • Lead Quality: Own data quality and implement automated unit, integration, and performance testing for microservices-based components.

The Full Stack Software Engineer – AI is required to possess the following skills & experience:

  • Commercial AI Experience: Approximately 2 years of dedicated AI experience within a broader engineering career (ideally at least 7 years total).
  • Agentic Frameworks: Practical, commercial experience with LangGraph (or similar tools), agent design, and building MCPs.
  • The Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and React/TypeScript.
  • GenAI Tooling: Experience with embeddings, vector stores, and LLM integration (OpenAI, LLAMA, Cohere, etc.)
  • Agile Mindset: Experience working in high-performance teams using CI/CD and modern data architecture.
