We’re currently seeking a talented Business Intelligence Developer to join our IT team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a major transformation of our data and insights capabilities, as we transition to a more cloud-based infrastructure.

You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team driving this change, primarily working within the Microsoft Fabric suite, alongside tools such as Jet Analytics. Your role will involve the end-to-end delivery of data solutions, ensuring colleagues across the business have access to accurate, insightful, and actionable data. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll help shape the future of data-driven decision-making within the organisation.

Key Accountabilities   

  • Build and manage data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Dataflows, Lakehouses).
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI for various business units.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to analyze data stored in Fabric.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Monitor data quality and ensure accuracy in reporting outputs.
  • Automate data refreshes and reporting processes where possible.

People/Leadership

  • Ensure communication is maintained with stakeholders throughout a project
  • Ensure a thorough handover is complete at the end of projects

Risk / Process

  • Provide ongoing support to data lead tools once release

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Essential                                                

  • Experience with Power BI (report creation, DAX, data modeling).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric components (Lakehouse, Dataflows, Notebooks, etc.).
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data.
  • Understanding of data visualization best practices.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and optimize performance.
  • Good communication skills to explain data insights to non-technical users.

Desirable

  • Microsoft PL300 certification or similar
  • Jet Reporting
  • Reporting Services reports (SSRS)
  • Dynamics Business Central
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Data Activator or Real-Time Analytics in Fabric.
  • Understanding of data governance and security principles.
