Role Purpose:
We are looking for a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our growing data team.
This newly created role will be highly visible and will play a pivotal part in turning raw data into meaningful, actionable insight. You’ll partner with stakeholders across the business to shape how information is understood and used, designing and delivering compelling BI solutions, primarily in Power BI and SQL, to bring clarity, drive performance, and unlock smarter, data driven decisions.
We’re looking for someone who can blend strong technical capability with commercial awareness: a candidate who can craft high-quality reports and data models, but who also understands the story behind the numbers and the business decisions they support. If you enjoy influencing, problem-solving, and making data matter, this role offers a fantastic platform to make a real impact
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI models and reports to support business objectives.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to enable data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across BI solutions.
- Develop and maintain data models that underpin reliable, consistent reporting.
- Continuously monitor BI performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and resolving issues proactively.
- Support the development of a scalable data infrastructure as the team grows.
What you’ll give:
Essential:
- Proven experience in Power BI development, including DAX and data modelling.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- An understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
- Ability to analyse complex data sets and present insights clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas in non-technical language.
Desirable:
- Experience with ETL processes and data integration tools.
- Basic knowledge of Azure Data Services (e.g. Azure Data Factory).
- An understanding of data governance.
What you’ll get:
- A career with a business in motion, always learning and evolving for better.
- A refreshingly friendly and supportive environment in which to thrive.
- Training and development opportunities that will enable you to advance as far as your talent and determination will take you.
- Plenty of social activities and events.
- If fitness is your thing, we often find opportunities to workout together.
Benefits:
- Free membership for you and a loved one plus 2 discounted memberships for family members or friends after passing probation.
- 28 days holiday including public/bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time employees). Annual leave increasing with length of service up to 5 additional days (pro-rata for part-time employees).
- Workplace Pension Scheme.
- Death in Service benefit.
- Discount on retail and cafe products.
- Access to an Employee Assistance Program.
