Data Analyst Manager - Finance

Data Analytics Manager | Central London | Banking | £80,000 - £100,000 | 50% WFH Ready to transform how Finance uses data? We're looking for a Data Analytics Manager to help drive the next phase of Finance transformation. You'll use data, automation and modern reporting tools to simplify processes, strengthen controls and give stakeholders better insights to make smarter decisions. This is a highly visible role within the CFO function where you'll combine your finance knowledge, technical expertise and problem-solving skills to deliver meaningful change across the business.   • Lead the automation and optimisation of Finance processes, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency.
  • Design and implement automated controls, reconciliations and exception reporting.
  • Improve the quality, accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.
  • Build insightful dashboards, visualisations and KPI reporting that support business decision-making.
  • Streamline month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting activities.
  • Extract, transform and analyse data from multiple sources using Microsoft Fabric, SQL and other modern analytics tools.
  • Partner with Technology and Finance teams to deliver transformation projects from requirements gathering through to implementation.
  • Translate business needs into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Champion data-driven thinking across Finance and help colleagues maximise the value of reporting and analytics tools.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for finance analytics, reporting and finance systems.
What We're Looking For
  • Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within a Finance or Financial Reporting environment.
  • Hands-on experience with: Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, Python
  • Proven experience automating reporting and business processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
