Management Accountant Location: Central London (Hybrid 3/4 days in office)Contract: Permanent Salary: Circa £45,000 An innovative and fast-growing international technology business is looking to appoint a motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join its collaborative finance team. About the Role: Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Working within a fast-paced environment, you’ll contribute to financial reporting, month-end processes, compliance activities, and process improvement initiatives across a multi-entity group structure. This role offers strong development opportunities for someone looking to build their technical accounting expertise while progressing within a growing finance function. Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, reporting packs, and financial analysis.
- Assisting with month-end close activities including journal postings, reconciliations, variance analysis, and balance sheet reviews.
- Managing operational finance tasks such as supplier payments and customer invoicing.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies across financial records and balance sheet accounts.
- Assisting with statutory and compliance reporting requirements, including VAT submissions and tax-related reporting support.
- Providing support during external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and responding to auditor queries.
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements across multiple legal entities under relevant accounting standards.
- Working closely with the Financial Controller to enhance financial controls, processes, and internal documentation.
- Contributing to finance transformation initiatives, including automation and continuous improvement projects.
- Supporting and mentoring junior finance team members where appropriate.
- Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and wider business projects as required.
- Experience using Netsuite is essential.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in management/ financial accounting.
- AAT qualified or actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA or a similar professional qualification.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Positive, hands-on approach with a willingness to support the wider team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
