Finance Director

Finance Director, SaaS / Tech, £110,000 - £130,000 + Equity + package - Berkshire  We’re delighted to be partnering with a VC-backed Technology business who are in a reallyexciting phase of their growth-journey.  This is a ‘number-one’ role and we’re ken to attract a commercially-minded Finance Director who enjoys all the high-level work that comes with a small, growing business but also willing to be ‘in the weeds’ when it counts.  Reporting directly to the CEO and acting as a partner to the ExCo we need someone who has experience of seeing a small company grow and all the investor-led activity that goes with such a scenario.  A great role in a business full of passionate people who are derermined to see this business through to an exit.  Key Duties of the Finance Director:

• Responsible for overseeing all monthly accounts, annual accounts, filings, liquidity management etc
• Reporting directly to the CEO (and broader C-suite) to provide partnering on all key strategic decision-making
• Provide data-driven insight in to business performance and provide input in to commercial drivers to improve performance and profitability
• Fully own the budget and 3 year financial plan
• Develop financial reporting packs to support future investment rounds
• Develop a balanced scorecard approach to performance reporting, trend analysis and KPI’s
• Pricing – reviewing current pricing and explore innovative future pricing models for channels and customers
• Offer and implement efficiencies and improvements to existing finance function
• Provide regular and ad-hoc investor reporting to current VC partners
• Manage all external relationships regarding banking, audit and legal

  Operational Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the Head of Projects to ensure the business has clear project priorities and milestones
• Create standardised business case model
• Oversee HR and internal Governance

  Experience Needed:

• Fully Qualified Accountant with at least 10 years PQE
• Open on industry experience but must have worked in an SME, high-growth business
• Must have worked within a VC or PE-backed business
• Experience with investor liaison and ideally exit preparation
• Passion for the role you do and energy to help drive change and improvements
• Transparency with great communication skills
• Hands-on team player, comfortable in an SME environment
