The Opportunity
Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Bedale to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to start in April 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive department and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
You'll play a key role in developing students' understanding of computing, programming, and digital literacy, helping to prepare them for an increasingly technology-driven world.
Your Role Will Include:
Delivering high-quality Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching key topics such as programming, algorithms, and computer systems
Creating engaging and interactive lessons that inspire student interest
Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress
Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Contributing to the wider school community where required

What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Computer Science in UK secondary schools
Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Two recent professional references
A passion for education and inspiring young learners
Adaptability and confidence across different school settings
