Head of Computer Science

A high-achieving secondary school in West London, located close to Southall Station, is seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Computer Science to join its leadership team from January 2026. This full-time, permanent role is offered on the Inner London MPS/UPS + TLR scale, depending on experience.

As Head of Computer Science, you will:

• Lead a successful department delivering Computer Science and IT across Key Stages 3-5.

• Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and digital innovation.

• Inspire and mentor a team of teachers to deliver consistently high-quality lessons.

• Promote a culture of creativity, problem-solving, and digital literacy.

• Contribute to whole-school initiatives, supporting the school's strategic vision for technology and learning.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a closely related field.

• Previous experience in leadership or departmental management within a secondary setting.

• A passion for technology, coding, and innovative teaching methods.

• Strong communication, organisational, and people management skills.
