Principal Consultant – Programme & Project Delivery (Data & AI)

About the job

As part of the Transform Together Consulting team, you will lead impactful change primarily in the area of Data and AI by partnering with industry-leading companies to shape strategy and drive operational excellence.

You will be working across organisational levels, depending on your comfort and experience, from SMEs to C-Suite to help provide structure, knowledge and insight into the best methods to deliver their transformation agenda.

This typically involves taking a business objective from discovery through to adoption into BAU, utilising a combination of agile and traditional project and change management techniques. You will get real responsibility and accountability from the outset - you tell us how far you want to go; it's our job to get you there!

About You

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of consulting experience
• Minimum of 6 years of professional / industry experience
• University degree in Business Management or Administration, Economics, Technology or Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus
• A passion for leading projects, programmes or portfolio delivery for clients
• Strong understanding of agile ways of working and cadences to support collaboration between business and technology teams
• Ability to translate strategic goals into executable delivery plans that can be automatically tracked and managed
• Excellent understanding of RAID and cross functional dependency management
• Capability to design and implement Scrum agile practices from a standing start, understanding of agile tooling such as ADO, JIRA and Confluence is a necessity
• Understanding of budgeting and Return on Investment modelling to support making technology measurable
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
• A naturally collaborative approach to your work, being able to bring consensus within challenging stakeholder groups
• Enthusiasm and comprehensive understanding of the business and modern technological landscape in data and AI, and an ability to translate that knowledge to solve client problems
• Experience of implementing data or AI-based solutions for clients and proactively utilising AI in your day-to-day activities
• A positive, can-do attitude, strong team ethos and ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment
• Proactive approach to your work, maintaining high-quality standards while embracing innovative approaches to solve complex challenges

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Experience leveraging AI tools to automate business processes and enhance operational efficiency is highly desirable
• Working with Private Equity-backed businesses
• Understanding of data and AI ecosystem (cloud providers, agentic and generative AI, data platforms and architecture)
• Experience managing post-merger integration in the Finance, Wealth or Asset Management sector
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PROSCI PRINCE2, or Agile (PSM, NeXus, SAFe) are highly desirable
