This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to make a real difference.This role involves travelling to multiple locations around the Yorkshire area, the ideal candidate would be located in Leeds, Sheffield or Manchester. Applicants must own there own vehicle and hold a full UK driving license. As a Data Protection Consultant, you will support your clients in providing advice and ongoing support on the implementation, management, and compliance with Data Protection legislation. This will involve remote and on-site visits as required to support schools in establishing an effective data protection culture. The role involves conducting data protection audits to review existing data handling practice, identify the gaps in both processes or knowledge and support the school to make progress. The role includes delivery of data protection training to upskill staff to ensure safe use of data.The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service and communication skills along with a broad knowledge of the data protection sector. An understanding of DPA 2018, UK GDPR and FOIA legislation is essential with the motivation to obtain a professional Data Protection Officer qualification.What we’re looking for
  • An understanding of current data protection legislation and/or a willingness to increase knowledge
  • Experience of working unsupervised, and using your own initiative, as well as taking ownership of problems and solving them promptly wherever possible
  • Experience and the ability to keep accurate records and data, in both an organised and accessible manner
  • A careful and meticulous approach to case handling details
  • Experience of organising and planning your own workload, with an ability to prioritise tasks to be able to meet various competing deadlines
  • Knowledge of the education’s environment would be advantageous but not essential.
Full training will be provided, and Data Protection practitioner training can be considered for individuals wishing to improve their knowledge of data privacy and data protection.The role is a full or part time remote field-based role so candidates must have their own transport and be willing to travel as required to turn IT on & GDPR Sentry customers.In return, we are offering a salary of between £28,000 - £32,000, business mileage, salary sacrifice pension scheme, a benefits & wellbeing hub including an electric car lease scheme, employee assistance programme, cycle & ebike scheme and an eye care voucher scheme.Why join us?
