The role:

Based primarily at the Doncaster facility, you'll play a key role in delivering control and automation solutions for industrial machinery and equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Configuring and commissioning inverter drives including Yaskawa, Omron and Allen-Bradley systems.

Electrical installation, testing and commissioning of machinery and equipment.

Modifying and updating electrical schematics using CAD software.

Fault-finding and diagnosing electrical and control system issues.

Providing customer support and technical assistance during breakdown situations.

Supporting commissioning and electrical teams with documentation and compliance requirements.

Visiting customer sites throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.

This is a hands-on position offering a mix of workshop, site-based and customer-facing work, making it ideal for engineers who enjoy variety and problem solving.

About You:

We're keen to hear from: Experienced Controls Engineers, Electrical Engineers looking to move into controls and automation or Service, Maintenance or Installation Engineers with industrial electrical experience

You will have:

City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification

Experience working with industrial machinery, automation equipment or control panels

Strong electrical fault-finding skills

Experience in installation, commissioning, service or maintenance environments

A proactive approach and willingness to travel when required

Desirable but not essential:

PLC or controls engineering experience

18th Edition qualification

Inverter drive commissioning experience

Benefits:

Salary: Up to £19.50 per hour depending on experience

Overtime: Time and a half after 42 hours, Double time on Sundays

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 5:00pm, 4.30pm finish on Fridays

Holiday Entitlement: 20 days annual leave, Birthday off, Bank holidays

Additional day added annually up to a maximum of 25 days' holiday

Total potential entitlement of up to 34 days
