Web Application Developer
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Office-based, Monday to Friday
Travelgenix is a travel technology company building booking platforms, APIs and tools used by travel agents and tour operators in the UK and internationally. Our systems power end-to-end booking journeys, from search through to payment, and are designed to handle real-world travel complexity at scale.
We are looking for a web applications developer to focus primarily on back-end development. This role centres on building and extending the API services that drive our front-end booking flows and Javascript widgets.
This is an office-based role. You must already live in or around Bournemouth, Dorset and be able to work from our office most days of the week. We do not offer remote roles, overseas roles, or relocation support. Applications that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
What you will be working on
You will be working within an established and growing codebase that underpins our booking platforms. The work is practical and production-focused, involving new feature development, integration work, and ongoing improvements to performance and reliability.
Typical work includes building and extending API endpoints, integrating with third-party travel suppliers, processing booking and pricing data, and supporting the front-end team by providing clean, predictable APIs.
Key skills and experience
Required:
- At least 2 years of commercial experience with C# and ASP.Net Core
- Experience building and maintaining API services
- Knowledge of API integrations, including JSON and XML parsing
- Working knowledge of SQL Server, particularly using SQL from C# code
Useful:
- Experience working on large or long-lived codebases
- Exposure to performance or scalability work, even if not a specialist
- Experience in travel, e-commerce, or transactional systems
The role in the team
You will work closely with other developers, front-end engineers and product stakeholders in the same office. This role is about contributing code, solving real problems and helping move the platform forward. It suits someone who is comfortable working within existing systems while steadily improving them.
Location and availability requirements
This role is based in Bournemouth, Dorset. You must:
- Already live locally or within reasonable commuting distance
- Be available to work from the office most days, Monday to Friday
- Not require relocation support of any kind
Salary
Salary will be discussed with suitable candidates and will be based on your experience. It is intentionally not listed at this stage.

If you are interested, get in touch with a brief overview of your experience and the type of systems you have worked on. Examples of relevant projects or code are helpful.
