Security Engineer

Infrastructure Security Engineer (Contract) - Hybrid/Remote

We're looking for a hands-on Security/Infrastructure Engineer with a strong security mindset to join a lean IT team in a hybrid cloud environment (Azure, M365, on-prem AD).

This is a 60% infrastructure/30% security role - you'll be responsible for maintaining core systems while also investigating and responding to security alerts (Darktrace/SOC tools).

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage and support Azure, M365, VMware & on-prem AD environments
• Investigate and respond to security alerts and incidents
• Support day-to-day infrastructure operations across a hybrid setup
• Work closely with internal teams to maintain and improve systems & security

What You'll Bring

• Strong experience in infrastructure/systems engineering
• Good understanding of networking, Microsoft stack & hybrid environments
• Experience investigating security alerts/incidents (SOC tools, Darktrace etc.)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership

The Details

• £300 - £350 per day
•  Hybrid (1-2 days onsite)
• Initial 3 months (Highly likely extension)
