IT Delivery Manager - Remote working
IT Delivery Manager - Remote working.
Up to £50k base with a nice range of benefits and strong career progression opportunities
We are looking for an ambitious and committed IT Delivery Manager for a thriving business undergoing some exciting transformation.
The IT Delivery Manager's role is to manage the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of projects while simultaneously playing a key analytical role in defining and shaping business solutions.
This is a dual role, requiring a unique combination of analytical thinking, analytical rigor, and technical understanding. You will act as a bridge between business units and technical teams, ensuring alignment between requirements and delivery, and you will be equally responsible for delivering value through both effective management and insightful analysis. There is a strong focus on the project delivery side so skills and experience in this area are essential.
Key elements of the role are
Project Delivery
- Own the full lifecycle delivery of projects from concept through to production deployment and benefits realization.
- Develop, maintain, and track detailed project delivery plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, risk, issue logs, dependencies, milestones, and budgets.
- Define and enforce governance models, including change control, escalation paths, RACI models, decision-making protocols, and status reporting cadence.
- Manage project interdependencies, third-party integrations, and cross-functional team alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
- Ensure delivery quality through stage gate reviews, code deployment checkpoints, and collaboration with architecture, security, and compliance teams.
- Monitor performance KPIs and delivery health metrics, proactively identifying risks, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Manage agile delivery, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlogs
Business Analysis
- Document and validate business needs, workflows, user stories, use cases, epics, and acceptance criteria using best-in-class techniques (BPMN, UML, etc.).
- Map current-state ("as-is") and future-state ("to-be") processes, identifying automation opportunities, efficiency gains, and value-driven transformation paths.
- Translate business requirements into system designs in collaboration with developers, architects, and QA, ensuring functional specs are accurate and complete.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, product managers, and external vendors.
- Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders, balancing competing priorities and aligning delivery outcomes with business value.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through structured reporting, executive dashboards, steering committee meetings, and delivery roadmaps.
We are looking for a candidate who can absolutely deliver on the project management and stakeholder as the primary skillset, ideally with some good business analysis (discovery and design) experience.
Key skills we are looking for
- Strong experience delivering enterprise solutions, with some of that in combined delivery roles.
- Any experience with Finance Systems integration and/or implementation projects would be highly desirable but not essential
- Experience in Agile/Scrum, SAFe, and traditional Waterfall methodologies.
- Expertise in eliciting, analysing, documenting, and managing business and technical requirements for IT systems.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Visio, and business analysis frameworks.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification
- CBAP or PMI-PBA (Business Analysis)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist
