Overview
An exciting opportunity to join a modern, cloud-native organisation undergoing significant transformation. This is not a greenfield role - the architectural foundations are already in place. We're looking for a strategic and hands-on Lead Architect to drive enterprise-wide coherence, ensure robust governance, and deliver real business value in a fast-paced, technology-forward environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Chair the Architecture Design Authority, ensuring strategic alignment and enterprise coherence.
- Own and evolve the enterprise architecture framework and roadmap.
- Lead design assurance and governance forums across data, integration, infrastructure, and technology domains.
- Provide architectural leadership across major transformation programmes, including finance and data initiatives.
- Coach and develop a maturing architecture team.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, influencing strategic direction and investment decisions.
- Ensure secure-by-design and compliance-by-default principles are embedded across delivery models.
- Drive adoption of AI and data-centric approaches across the organisation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior architectural leader with broad experience across enterprise domains.
- Proven ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on and delivery-focused.
- Exceptional communicator with experience engaging ExCo-level stakeholders.
- Strong governance and design assurance expertise.
- Experience in modern cloud-native environments.
- Comfortable navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and fostering collaboration.
- Passionate about coaching and developing talent in an evolving team.
Why This Role?
- Be part of a major transformation journey, including live programmes and upcoming finance transformation.
- Work with cutting-edge technologies in a fully modernised environment - no legacy systems.
- Influence the future of data and AI strategy under dynamic leadership.
- Benefit from established governance and support structures, with external partners in place for the next two years.
- Join a busy, high-impact environment where your leadership will shape the future of the organisation.
