Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in the Financial Services Industry and technology transformation and a passion for structured, high-impact delivery?
We're on the hunt for a Project Manager to join a newly formed Transformation Management Office where you will take full responsibility of the complete delivery of the entire lifecycle of projects within a huge programme of Change.
About the Role:
You'll be responsible for project managing a number of enterprise-wide projects as part of a large-scale technology transformation programme managing both internal stakeholders and coordinating with Systems Integrators (SIs) and SaaS vendors.
This isn't just about project management and delivery, it's about engagement, communication, and bringing people on the journey.
You will be responsible for delivering multifaceted IT / Business Change related projects from initial conception through to complete go-live across the whole organisation and will take full ownership of multiple/concurrent & high value £multimillion projects.
As this is covering all departments, including IT, you will already have previous experience of working in a structured Prince2 environment coupled with a project management qualification (Prince 2, MSP etc)
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Manage multiple projects with multiple dependencies and workstreams
- Operate within a structured Project Management Framework (Waterfall)
- Experience of Implementing full Risk & Governance Management
- Manage all aspects of governance: planning, stage gates, reporting, risk, issues, and finance tracking
- Background of successful/proven delivery of high profile/value projects
- Senior stakeholder management & engagement
- Confidence & ability to take full ownership of projects
- Ability to work remotely whilst still building strong internal relationships is essential
- Ensure all activity aligns to six structured stage gates from request for change through to project closure
- Own relationships with key vendors, managing Statements of Work and ensuring effective delivery.
- Provide clarity and structure to internal teams, while solving problems and elevating delivery from tactical to strategic
Your Background:
- Proven experience operating as a Project Manager in complex financial services organisations
- Deep understanding of Governance Management on complex projects
- Comfortable navigating regulated, structured settings and engaging with C-level stakeholders
- Able to unify multiple delivery partners and vendors under one strategic vision
- A natural communicator and motivator, with excellent problem-solving and people leadership skills
