Senior FinOps Consultant

Contract | Remote | Outside IR35 | Up to £735 per day | Initial 3-Month Contract

We are seeking a Senior FinOps Consultant to join a high-performing team delivering cloud cost optimisation and FinOps transformation initiatives for a diverse range of customers. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you will work directly with stakeholders to identify savings opportunities, implement cost optimisation strategies, and establish sustainable FinOps practices across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collate, analyse, prioritise cloud cost optimisation recommendations and calculate potential savings and benefits using FinOps tools
• Implement rate and usage optimisations within public cloud environments (Azure, AWS and GCP)
• Create high-quality customer facing collateral explaining cloud cost optimisation and FinOps and present them to customers, both technical and non-technical
• Design and implement FinOps maturity roadmaps for customers to accelerate their FinOps capabilities from scratch or optimise existing approach
• Design and deliver training and enablement sessions to raise their understanding of cloud finance and economics

Skills / Experience

• Hands on experience implementing FinOps to optimise cloud costs, with deep understanding of levers available to optimise cloud costs
• Strong understanding of the FinOps Framework, capabilities, lifecycle and domains
• Hands on experience with native and 3rd party public cloud cost management tools
• Comfortable public speaking and presenting to a wide range of audiences
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships
• Highly strong numerical and finance skills to investigate data and spot trends and anomalies

Essential Qualifications

• FinOps Practitioner Certification and/or FinOps Professional Certification.

Desirable Qualifications

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
• Additional AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications are advantageous.
