Security Testing Practice LeadReports to: Managing DirectorLondon - 2-3 days a week£85k - potentially more based on experience.The Role:Lead and scale a high-performing security testing practice for a fast-growing, cybersecurity consultancy in London.This is a hands-on leadership role spanning service quality, delivery performance, team capability, utilisation, client confidence and the evolution of AI and LLM security testing.What Youll OwnOwn the security testing portfolio, methodology, tooling, reporting standards and delivery quality.Oversee projects from scoping to delivery, balancing quality, utilisation, capacity and client outcomes.Support commercial scoping, proposals and client conversations, especially for complex engagements.Lead, mentor and develop the testing team, building a culture of quality and accountability.Stay hands-on where needed, delivering complex testing work and QAing key scopes, proposals and reports.Shape new services and thought leadership, including AI and LLM security testing.Who Were Looking ForA senior security tester who can lead people, own delivery, support commercial conversations and stay close to the technical detail.What Youll BringStrong hands-on security testing experience across web apps, APIs, infrastructure, cloud, mobile and wireless.Expertise in black-box, grey-box and white-box testing using threat-led methods and current attacker TTPs.Knowledge of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OWASP, PTES, OSSTMM and established penetration testing methodologies.Experience improving methodologies, reporting templates and delivery standards, ideally in a CREST or CHECK-accredited environment.Ability to scope, plan, deliver and technically QA complex testing engagements.How Youll WorkProven team leadership, mentoring and development experience.Commercially credible, able to turn client needs into clear, deliverable scopes.Clear communicator with technical teams, commercial colleagues and senior stakeholders.Organised, analytical and comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities.Experience & Certifications5+ years hands-on security testing experience, including 1+ year in team leadership or practice management.Relevant certifications or equivalent experience, e.g. CREST CRT/CCT, OSCP, OSCE/OSWE, CISSP, CHECK Team Leader or CHECK Team Member.Consulting or professional services experience managing delivery, utilisation and quality.Nice to HaveRed team, purple team, BAS or social engineering experience.AI and LLM security testing knowledge, including OWASP Top 10 for LLMs.Programming, IoT, Kubernetes, container or CI/CD security experience.Experience creating technical content or launching new security testing services.TPBN1_UKTJ
