Elite Finance Architects Only: Build the Financial Backbone of Education's Future

You've mastered traditional finance. Now architect the system that will transform education for millions.

At Trilogy, we're not just building schools—we're reinventing education across multiple breakthrough businesses. We need a Division CFO who thinks beyond spreadsheets and sees the financial infrastructure as a strategic weapon. You'll design AI-native systems that eliminate bloat while supporting rapid scale, directly impacting how millions of students learn.

This role demands more than financial expertise. It requires system-level thinking that turns complexity into elegance. You'll own everything from tuition flows to compliance filings, not by building teams, but by building intelligent systems that make large teams obsolete.

If you're ready to transform finance into a catalyst for educational innovation, this position is engineered specifically for you.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Architect and implement an AI-first finance infrastructure that powers multiple high-growth education ventures simultaneously
  • Author definitive Important Design Decisions that eliminate complexity and establish scalable finance workflows
  • Deliver precision written feedback on Deep Dives and Improvement Plans that elevates both human and AI performance
  • Drive critical decisions in high-impact meetings focused on budgets, expansion strategy, vendor negotiations, and compliance
  • Ensure flawless execution of core finance operations—tuition management, audits, tax filings—at enterprise scale

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Building and managing conventional finance departments with layers of specialists
  • Spending valuable time on routine monthly close processes or transaction approvals
  • Implementing standard ERP configurations without strategic optimization
  • Directing from a distance—this role requires hands-on system building
  • Operating in a predictable, steady-state environment—expect rapid iteration and continuous scaling

Division CFO Key Responsibilities

Architect and operate a lean, AI-native finance system that powers multiple high-growth education businesses, with zero bloat and maximum scale.

Basic Requirements

  • Professional finance qualification: CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or MBA
  • Minimum 10 years in progressive finance leadership positions (Finance Manager, Controller, CFO or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a senior finance executive role (SVP, CFO or equivalent) with comprehensive ownership across all finance functions
  • Exceptional mastery of US GAAP and integrated financial statement management
  • Extensive experience optimizing ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, etc.) in complex, multi-entity organizational structures
  • Direct leadership or client-side management of 5+ external audits with Big 4 firms
  • Superior written and verbal English communication skills capable of engaging effectively with executive leadership
  • Location within UTC-8 to UTC+3 time zones

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Knowledge of U.S. K-12 education models including private, charter, and ESA program structures
  • Demonstrated success building finance automation systems or AI-driven workflows from inception
  • Proven track record managing finance operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions
