Application Support Engineer - Idox Uniform - Local Government - £300 Per Day - 6 Month Contract

TrinIT Talent are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join a Local Government organisation on an initial 6 month contract. This role is inside IR35, paying £300 per day, and will require occasional travel to Essex, with the majority of the work carried out remotely.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the Idox Uniform application, ensuring the platform remains stable, available and fit for purpose. Working closely with business users, third-party suppliers and internal IT teams, you will provide day-to-day application support, troubleshoot issues and help deliver ongoing improvements to this business-critical system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support for the Idox Uniform application.

  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve application incidents, problems and service requests.

  • Support users across Planning, Building Control and other Regulatory Services teams.

  • Assist with application upgrades, patches and releases.

  • Carry out application configuration and user administration.

  • Liaise with Idox and third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues.

  • Support system integrations and data troubleshooting where required.

  • Produce and maintain technical and user documentation.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of application support processes.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience as an Application Support Engineer, Systems Support Analyst or Application Analyst.

  • Hands-on experience supporting Idox Uniform.

  • Experience working within a UK Local Authority or Local Government environment.

  • Strong experience with incident, problem and change management.

  • Knowledge of SQL for troubleshooting and data investigation would be advantageous.

  • Experience supporting business-critical applications.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
