Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + Bens Location: Warwickshire (Hybrid)

Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Finance Systems Accountant to join our client's Finance team. This is a key role focused on the management, optimisation, and continuous improvement of our financial systems, ensuring robust financial reporting and process efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge combined with hands-on experience in a major ERP system (such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, or NetSuite).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the finance systems subject matter expert (SME), supporting the maintenance, configuration, and development of the ERP system.

  • Act as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and external ERP consultants to manage system changes, upgrades, and integrations.

  • Support the finance month-end and year-end close processes through system-based automation and process enhancements.

  • Lead and support system-related projects including implementation of new modules, reporting tools, and business process improvements.

  • Develop and maintain finance system controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

  • Provide training and support to finance users, ensuring best practices in system usage and data integrity.

  • Build and enhance financial reports and dashboards using ERP reporting tools or third-party BI software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • Troubleshoot and resolve finance system issues in a timely manner.

  • Assist with audit preparation by providing system documentation and data extracts as required.

Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.

  • Proven experience as a Finance Systems Accountant or similar role within a medium/large, complex organisation.

  • Hands-on experience with a major ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or similar is essential.

  • Strong understanding of core finance processes (e.g., GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Consolidation).

  • Experience working on ERP implementations, upgrades, or integrations is highly desirable.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Strong Excel skills; experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
