Test Engineer
Our client is seeking a skilled and collaborative Electronics Test Engineer to join their growing, inclusive team in Chertsey. In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with their engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality products and systems to the Defence Industry.
This position is ideal for an experienced Electronics Technician with strong production inspection, testing and fault-finding capabilities. You'll be joining at a crucial time, supporting a high-profile project where attention to detail, communication and effective time management are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised assembly area, ensuring all Health & Safety requirements are met.
- Deliver high-quality work within project deadlines.
- Accurately record defects and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform IPC-level inspections of electronic assemblies during production.
- Follow formal test documentation and accurately record results, including hardware, software and firmware configurations.
- Use standard test equipment to take and interpret measurements.
- Provide feedback on test documentation discrepancies.
- Confidently use internal systems to log results and maintain clear, up-to-date records.
- Able to obtain UK Security Clearance.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical production role.
- Strong background in manufacturing, assembly, repair, or modification of electronic components or systems.
- Good mechanical aptitude with proficiency in hand tools and test equipment.
- Able to read and interpret electronic and mechanical drawings.
- Solid understanding of electronic components and basic electronics principles.
- Competent in IPC 610 and 620 standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- Comfortable creating detailed documentation to specification.
- Proficient in Office 365 and quick to learn new software.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and keen to grow and develop within the role.
