Pre-Sales Engineer – UK (Cybersecurity)

A rapidly growing cybersecurity scale-up is looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer to support enterprise customers and partners across the UK market. This position will play a key role in the technical sales process, helping organisations understand, evaluate, and successfully implement advanced cybersecurity solutions focused on malware analysis, sandboxing, and threat intelligence.

The role combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing engagement, working closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver successful outcomes throughout the full sales lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs) with prospective customers and strategic partners.

Act as the technical lead for RFP responses, creating detailed technical proposals aligned to customer requirements and security objectives.

Deliver tailored product demonstrations, technical workshops, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Provide technical enablement and training to customers and channel partners.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to support customer success and long-term adoption.

Represent the business at cybersecurity conferences, trade shows, and industry events.

Act as a trusted advisor on malware analysis, threat detection, incident response, and threat intelligence use cases.

Gather market and customer feedback to help influence future product strategy and roadmap direction.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience within cybersecurity, ideally in Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.

Strong understanding of:

  • Malware Analysis
  • Threat Hunting
  • Incident Response
  • Threat Intelligence
  • Experience managing technical evaluations, Proofs of Concept, and responding to RFPs.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including administration and security considerations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and customer-focused approach.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally when required.
