Application Operations Engineer

We are seeking an Application Operations Engineer. The role will focus on configuring and managing the data products required by users, supporting their onboarding onto the platform and reconfiguring products as requirements develop.

Key responsibilities:

  • Configure products using Handlebars.js or Moustache.js for template logic and Typst for output layouts.
  • Work with Product Managers, Service Delivery Managers and other stakeholders to onboard products.
  • Configure and maintain application services, ensuring they meet business needs and performance targets.
  • Manage changes, incidents and problems using ServiceNow.
  • Investigate technical and operational issues, taking ownership through to resolution, mitigation or handover.
  • Complete routine application maintenance and administration.
  • Execute test scripts and provide feedback on functionality delivered by development teams.
  • Maintain secure configurations and accurate service information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and service efficiency.
  • Engage with users and stakeholders to understand their requirements.

Key criteria:

  • Experience in application support, application operations or production support.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining applications or digital services.
  • Knowledge of incident, problem and change management processes.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or a comparable IT service management platform.
  • Understanding of testing and experience executing test scripts.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary technical team.
  • Experience using Handlebars.js, Moustache.js and/or Typst would be highly advantageous.
