ICT Test & Release Manager
- Contract: Until July 2027
- Location: Onsite, Liverpool (L3 3AN)
About the role
You will be responsible for planning, preparing, executing and reporting on regression testing (both manual and automated) for the Force's core IT systems, with a primary focus on evergreen cloud products including Oracle HCM, ERP and ECP.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the end-to-end Test & Release Management life cycle, including scheduling, coordinating and managing releases across the Force's IT systems.
- Working closely with system owners and ICT teams to ensure successful release planning and delivery.
- Leading the strategic direction for release management tools and ensuring release processes are Embedded into future IT projects.
- Monitoring and measuring release success against agreed SLAs.
Key experience required
- Significant experience supporting and coordinating the test and release life cycle.
- Experience working with integrated systems or multi-module environments.
- Strong background in System Acceptance Testing (SAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Experience working within formal change management processes.
- Proven experience managing test scripts, defect management, test results, supplier coordination and stakeholder communications.
- Good working knowledge of the ITIL framework.
- Previous Test/Release Management and/or Project Management experience with an advanced understanding of the software development life cycle.
