Pay Rate: £520-545 per day PAYE TBC
Hours per week: 35-37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours
This opening assignment is for 3months

Hybrid working - office attendance required when needed (notice provided)
We are looking for an experienced IT Security Manager to join a Enterprise Architecture and Systems Services Management team. You will lead the IT Security function, developing security policies, documentation, cyber incident plans and risk registers, ensuring the Council remains protected against cyber threats and continues to deliver excellent services.
You will drive innovative solutions to improve security, efficiency and service delivery across the organisation, while providing strong leadership to a high-performing team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the IT Security team
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures and controls
- Maintain cyber incident plans and cyber risk registers
- Mitigate cyber risks and ensure compliance with best practice
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Identify and implement improvements and efficiencies
About you:
- At least 5 years' experience in a senior ICT role, including 2 years managing staff, projects or a function
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Experience implementing, supporting and configuring IT security technologies
- Knowledge of ITIL and IT service management tools
- Experience developing security policies and procedures
