Senior Software Engineer - Biotech | £70-80k | Hybrid (3 days/week in London)

We’re supporting a fast-growing biotech company in London that’s using cutting-edge automation and machine learning to accelerate therapeutic antibody discovery. They’re scaling their internal systems and tools and are now hiringtwo Senior Software Engineersto join the team.

This is a full-stack role (though one of the hires could lean more towards backend). You’ll work closely with scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders to build software that powers real-world lab automation and scientific data handling.

What you'll be doing:

• Building tools that enable large-scale scientific experiments and research automation
• Collaborating with wet lab scientists and non-technical users
• Developing clean, maintainable software in Python, React, TypeScript
• Deploying and managing apps in GCP
• Working in a close-knit engineering team with room to shape architecture and best practices

What they’re looking for:

• 5+ years of Python development experience (industry)
• Solid experience with production systems and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with full-stack engineering (or backend with strong data focus)
• Bonus: experience in biotech, academia, or working with non-tech stakeholders
• Bonus: exposure to LIMS/ELN tools (e.g. Benchling)
