Software Developer

TrueNorth are currently working with a boutique consultancy who are looking to work with a software engineer for one of their clients.

The right software engineer will be able to work with -

• TypeScript/NodeJS focused
• Experience building node modules or reusable system component
• Have used frontend frameworks Nunjucks or Express
• Prior experience in big government programmes is ESSENTIAL
• Experience in TDD approach

Day to day the software engineer could be involved with -

• Engage with stakeholders to understand goals, document functional and technical needs, and define project scope.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code and performing testing to ensure quality and reliability before release.
• Troubleshooting - identifying and fixing defects using debugging tools and systematic problem-solving and releasing software to production environments, configuring systems, and collaborating with DevOps teams.

This is a FULLY REMOTE ROLE with the odd collaboration group meet up where location is TBC.

This is an initial 3 month contract but highly likely to extend across 2026.
