Solutions Architect
Solution Architect - Perm /Remote
The Solutions Architect will play a key role in shaping and delivering digital, data, and technology solutions within a major transformation programme. This role requires strong expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem and large-scale system implementations, including ERP, DMS, CRM, and CMS. The postholder will ensure solutions are aligned to strategic objectives, scalable, and sustainable, while supporting programme and project teams with clear architectural design and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and document solutions that meet business needs, ensuring alignment with organisational strategies, standards, and roadmaps.
- Provide architectural guidance to projects, promoting reuse, scalability, and value for money.
- Translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure consistency across solutions and adherence to architecture principles and standards.
- Produce and maintain solution design documentation, supporting governance processes and technical assurance.
- Contribute to the evolution of architecture practice, principles, and reference models.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect in large transformation programmes.
- Strong expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem: Azure, O365, Power Platform, ERP solutions.
- Knowledge of architecture methodologies (e.g. TOGAF) and modern IT paradigms (event-driven architecture, microservices, containerisation).
- Experience with API-first and service-led design approaches.
- Strong understanding of cloud hosting, serverless, networking patterns, and DevOps principles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to make complex ideas clear and actionable.
- Ability to build effective relationships and broker between business and technical stakeholders.
