Software Engineer Python & C++ | Fintech AI Startup (London, Hybrid)

Role: Software Engineer (Python & C++)

Location: London (Hybrid 12 days/week in-office optional)

I'm currently hiring on behalf of an exciting early-stage fintech startup thats building cutting-edge simulation and AI tools for global financial institutions.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with a highly technical founding team, have real ownership over systems design, and shape engineering culture from the ground up.

Role Highlights

• Refactor and productionise research/prototype code
• Develop performance-critical systems in Python and C++
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Drive system design, tooling, and architecture decisions
• Own the full software lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy
• Build robust testing and CI/CD pipelines

Requirements:

• Strong experience in both Python and C++ in production environments
• A track record of delivering production-quality systems at speed
• Experience moving code from prototype to scalable production systems
• Strong testing, CI/CD, and code quality practices
• Experience mentoring or supporting more junior developers
• Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments

Desirable:

• Fintech or quantitative finance experience
• Background in numerical computing or HPC
• ML/AI model deployment experience
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Kubernetes (especially Red Hat OCP)
• Understanding of financial markets or trading infrastructure
