Technical Apprentice

Do you want to work for an exciting and growing company which develops high end products. You will learn how to perform all work assigned quickly, economically and to our company standards and to gain a sound knowledge of all electrical, electronic and mechanical works within the field of manufacturing and engineering. 

Role

The role is predominantly based in our Engineering lab, so will include working with Development Technicians on the following tasks:

  • Build and test prototype circuits to concept designs produced by the design engineers
  • Assembly and soldering of Printed Circuit Boards
  • Assisting with the wiring of inverters and electronic assemblies
  • Design support and test circuits
  • To specify and source components
  • To assist with the development of production solutions
  • Assist with internal and external development activities
  • Build prototype mechanical assemblies to concept designs produced by the design engineers

  • Crimping
  • Wiring
  • Soldering
  • Unit assembly
  • Use of hand tools
  • Metalworking

Training

You will have a 42 month apprenticeship which will include a Level 3 BTec in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship the apprentice may be offered a full time position.
