Sales Engineer
Role Overview
The Sales Engineer will serve as the technical backbone of the sales organization, partnering closely with Account Executives to drive deal success across the full sales cycle. This role is responsible for translating complex lending and fintech solutions into clear business value for prospective customers.
This individual will act as a trusted advisor to prospects, demonstrating how TurnKey Lender’s platform supports end-to-end lending operations, from origination through servicing, while addressing technical, integration, and operational requirements.
This is a highly customer-facing, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment and is comfortable operating at both a strategic and technical level. The ideal candidate has deep experience in banking or fintech, specifically within lending, and can confidently engage with both business and technical stakeholders.
What You’ll Own
Technical Sales Execution
- Partner with Account Executives to support the full sales cycle from discovery through close
- Design and present tailored solution demonstrations aligned to customer use cases
- Translate product capabilities into clear business and technical value
Solution Design & Architecture
- Map customer requirements to TurnKey Lender’s platform capabilities
- Advise on system architecture, integrations, and data flows
- Support RFP/RFI responses with detailed technical input
- Provide guidance on implementation considerations and best practices
Product Demonstrations & Proof of Value
- Deliver compelling, customized demos for banking and fintech audiences
- Showcase lending workflows including origination, underwriting, decisioning, and servicing
- Support proof-of-concept engagements where required
- Continuously refine demo environments and storytelling based on market feedback
Sales Enablement & Collaboration
- Act as a key liaison between Sales, Product, and Engineering
- Provide feedback to Product teams based on customer needs and market trends
- Support the development of sales assets, demo scripts, and technical documentation
- Enable Account Executives with technical positioning and competitive differentiation
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build credibility with technical and business stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Lending, and Operations leaders
- Address technical objections and risk concerns with confidence and clarity
- Support security, compliance, and integration discussions as needed
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner closely with Sales leadership to support pipeline progression and deal strategy
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align customer requirements with roadmap
- Work with Marketing and Product Marketing to support technical content and positioning
- Align with Implementation and Customer Success teams for seamless handoff post-sale

- Consistent support of pipeline progression and improved win rates
- Strong technical validation across key deals with minimal friction
- High-quality, tailored demos that resonate with banking and fintech buyers
- Trusted advisor status with both internal teams and prospective customers
- Contribution to scalable demo frameworks and technical sales best practices
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar role within B2B SaaS
- Strong experience in banking or fintech, specifically within lending (consumer, SME, or commercial)
- Deep understanding of lending workflows including origination, underwriting, decisioning, and servicing
- Experience working with APIs, integrations, and system architectures
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to support enterprise sales cycles and engage senior stakeholders
- Experience with CRM systems such as HubSpot is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset
- Based in the UK, preferably London
