IT Administrator

IT Administrator | HR-Tech | M&A & Infrastructure | Remote UK

About the Company

We are representing an ambitious, high-growth group in the talent technology space that is currently expanding its market presence through an integrated, end-to-end platform. Following significant organic growth and a series of strategic acquisitions, the business has reached a major revenue milestone and is now preparing for its next phase of significant global scale.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to own the internal IT estate that underpins an entire group of businesses. This is not a break-fix support role; you will be the person responsible for consolidating acquired companies onto a unified technology platform and ensuring every team — whether existing or newly brought into the group — has a seamless, secure digital experience. You will work at the intersection of engineering, people, and finance teams to translate acquisition activity into clean, repeatable IT integration outcomes, while keeping day-to-day operations running without friction.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day IT support for all employees across the group, resolving hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues efficiently.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and the full Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and licensing.
  • Manage endpoint device lifecycles using Microsoft Intune — from procurement and provisioning through to compliance policy enforcement and secure decommissioning.
  • Lead the IT integration workstream for M&A activity: migrating acquired users onto the group’s identity platform, consolidating collaboration tools, and re-provisioning acquired devices to meet security standards.
  • Audit and rationalise the SaaS landscape of newly acquired businesses, identifying overlaps, consolidating licences, and decommissioning redundant subscriptions.
  • Implement and enforce least-privilege access principles, manage SSO integrations, and conduct periodic access reviews across all internal systems.
  • Document integration runbooks and IT processes so that future acquisitions follow a consistent, repeatable, and predictable path.
  • Support compliance and audit requirements, including providing evidence for ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, or similar frameworks.

Qualifications

We are looking for a technically hands-on professional with the following experience:

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune — device enrolment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployment across Windows and macOS.
  • Proven experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including conditional access, MFA enforcement, and SSO configuration.
  • Experience managing a Microsoft 365 tenant across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and licensing.
  • Experience with IT integration during M&A activity — migrating users, consolidating collaboration platforms, and re-provisioning acquired devices.
  • Familiarity with endpoint protection solutions such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike, or SentinelOne.
  • Experience managing SaaS tool administration and SSO integrations using Okta, Entra ID, or similar identity providers.
  • Strong communication skills for working with non-technical stakeholders across every function of the business.
  • Organised and process-driven — you document what you do, build repeatable systems, and avoid reliance on tribal knowledge.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with scripting and automation for IT tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust security principles and implementation.
  • Experience supporting ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, or SOC 2 audit processes from an IT perspective.
  • Experience in a buy-and-build or acquisition-heavy environment where you have repeatedly integrated acquired companies.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, or MD-102.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

  • Generous annual leave amounting to 40 days inclusive of bank holidays.
  • Flexible and remote-friendly culture with hybrid options in central office locations.
  • Comprehensive life insurance and pension.
  • Flexible benefits package where you can choose what works for you.

If you have the technical depth and the operational mindset to thrive in a fast-paced, acquisition-heavy environment, we want to hear from you. Please apply to this advert to start the conversation.
