Senior/Lead Full Stack Engineer (Node/React/CSS)

Exciting opportunity to join a high-calibre digital product team building a mission-critical healthtech platform that leverages AI.

We are looking for a Senior Full-stack Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join a cross-functional team of technologists, designers, and product owners. You will help solve difficult problems and build beautiful, intuitive products that operate at the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence.

The Role

You will work within a cross-discipline agile team to design, develop, and improve digital products across the entire web stack. While you will be deep in code as an expert in your area, you will also be responsible for shaping the work, highlighting uncertainty, and delivering working software from end-to-end. This role is based in London and requires 3 days per week on-site to foster close collaboration with the team.

What You’ll Do

  • Engineering: Design and craft high-quality, performant user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JS, primarily focusing on React or other major frameworks.
  • Full-stack Development: Build and maintain backend services (e.g., Node.js, serverless functions) and design robust APIs using GraphQL or REST.
  • Quality & Testing: Ensure high code quality through unit testing (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and contribute to automated test and build pipelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with agile coaches and product managers to refine technical designs and introduce new tools or technologies to the stack.
  • AI Opportunity: Take the opportunity to embrace AI-native development by using LLM-enabled agents to deliver production-grade code and explore the delivery of AI capabilities like RAG and context engineering.

What We’re Looking For

  • Technical Depth: Extensive experience building usable web applications with a mastery of at least one major frontend framework (React, Vue, Next.js).
  • Data & Infrastructure: Working knowledge of different datastores (SQL/NoSQL) and a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and typical integrations.
  • Agile Mindset: Experience working within Scrum or Kanban frameworks and a commitment to embodying agile principles in daily work.
  • Soft Skills: A clear communicator capable of breaking down complex concepts for a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: A resilient engineer who can handle ambiguity and is comfortable switching contexts in a fast-moving product environment.

Why Join

You will join a team that values continuous learning and the sharing of thoughts and work-in-progress. We offer a culture that promotes regular feedback and provides the space to grow your practice across a range of high-impact goals. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment and encourage applicants who feel passionate about the role, even if they don't meet every single requirement.
