Head of Product
Head of Product | Up to £110,000 DOE | Fully Remote | UK-based
Shape the product. Influence the strategy. Drive meaningful outcomes.
Are you an experienced Product Manager, Product Owner or product leader who thrives in technically complex environments?
Do you enjoy understanding challenging customer problems, turning them into great product opportunities and helping teams build solutions that deliver genuine long-term value?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of product direction within a growing technology business of more than 100 people, working across engineering, architecture, delivery, platform, service and commercial teams.
We’re looking for a Head of Product to shape the continued evolution of our products — developing a clear vision, making smart investment decisions and ensuring our capabilities are scalable, reusable, secure and built for the long term.
The Opportunity
This is far more than a backlog-management role. You’ll have genuine influence over product strategy and will help determine what problems we should solve, why they matter and where we should invest.
You’ll bring together customer insight, commercial opportunities, technical expertise and delivery experience to create a clear product direction.
A key part of the role will be championing reusable and configurable product capabilities, rather than unnecessary customer-specific solutions — helping make our products easier to understand, adopt, deploy, operate, support and extend.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and communicating the product vision, strategy and roadmap
- Turning customer, user, commercial and technical insight into clear product priorities
- Understanding customer problems and identifying opportunities for reusable product capabilities
- Balancing customer commitments with long-term product investment, security, technical debt, risk and operational efficiency
- Making clear, evidence-based prioritisation decisions and communicating trade-offs effectively
- Working closely with engineering, architecture and delivery teams to provide clarity and remove ambiguity
- Supporting experimentation, iterative delivery and early validation
- Protecting product coherence and reducing duplication through common patterns and reusable capabilities
- Championing automation, self-service and repeatable deployment and configuration
- Building strong relationships across customers, technical teams and commercial stakeholders
- Keeping leadership informed on product progress, risks, opportunities and key decisions
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or product leadership professional
- Experience developing product strategies, roadmaps and prioritisation approaches
- Experience managing technically complex software, platforms or infrastructure products
- Experience within cyber security, ideally with exposure to cross-domain environments
- Strong user- and outcome-focused product management skills
- The ability to understand complex customer and operational problems
- Experience turning customer requirements into reusable product capabilities
- Understanding of product lifecycle management, technical debt and software evergreening
- Confidence working with engineering, architecture and delivery teams
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills
- The ability to make balanced decisions when priorities compete or information is incomplete
- A collaborative leadership style that enables teams to make great decisions
- Experience in government, defence, enterprise or other highly regulated environments would be advantageous, as would knowledge of secure software delivery, DevSecOps, cloud platforms, service operations, product discovery or user research.
What You’ll Get
Alongside a £90,000 – £110,000 salary, you’ll receive:
- Annual bonus
- 8% non-contributory pension
- 28 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
- Option to buy or sell an additional week of holiday
- Income protection for up to 5 years
- Private healthcare and life insurance
- Enhanced parental leave
- Fully remote and flexible working
- Learning, development and career progression opportunities
- Supportive and inclusive team environment
- The chance to work on meaningful, technically challenging projects
Location & Clearance
This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be UK-based and eligible for DV clearance.
Due to the nature of the work and the sectors supported, any offer will be subject to successful completion of the relevant security screening and clearance process. Candidates must meet the applicable UK Government residency and right-to-work requirements.
