People Operations Specialist
The Opportunity
UP3 is growing. Fast. And evolving our People Operations to help us scale is an essential part of maintaining that momentum; both now and into the future.
We’re looking for a talented People Operations Specialist with a passion for bringing people, processes and technology together; achieving an exceptional employee experience whilst supporting key business outcomes. Someone ambitious; ready to take ownership of our People processes and technology and the ongoing improvement of our People Operations . Someone detailed-oriented and a completer finisher, who can ensure accurate record keeping and deliver People MI. And someone collaborative and caring, who can support the wider UP3 Team in delivering best-in-class customer outcomes by delivering pragmatic and simple HR support with people front of mind.
Our values
- No-one is above making the tea of watering the plants
- Do the right thing by the customer. Always.
- No room for egos, politics or gossip.
- We’re a team. Take a pride in sharing what you know.
- If you see something that needs doing, roll up your sleeves and get it done.
- Remember, at some point, you did something for the first time.
As our business grows and evolves, we expect that you will too. But for now we’re looking for someone to be focused on:
- Managing our People Operations processes end-to-end across the employee lifecycle; ensuring all employee records and required documentation is kept up to date. You’ll work across new starter onboarding, absences, payroll, benefits, L&D, right to work checks, background and security clearances, leavers, performance appraisals, bonus and salary reviews, and more; liaising with third-party providers and experts as applicable.
- Owning the day-to-day administration of our HRIS system, currently Rippling, and partnering with our Chief People Officer and IT to support our transition to a new platform. You’ll be working to create and refine processes; embedding automation, guiding user behaviours, and creating a platform which delivers a great user experience and supports the required commercial insights and outcomes.
- Collaborating with the Chief People Officer in developing processes, policies and other collateral which support a transparent, accessible and proactive approach to providing People Services.
- Supporting low-complexity ER cases. You’ll work alongside the Chief People Officer to manage Maternity & Paternity Leave, Flexible working requests, Exit Interviews etc as needed.
- Working with the wider business on an ad-hoc basis to support requirements such as employee events, resource co-ordination, data analysis, and more.
Sound good? We’d love to hear from you, if you have:
- Proven experience of owning and improving HR Operations processes and outcomes, and knowledge of the applicable UK employment legislation underpinning them.
- Strong understanding of HRIS system capabilities and experience of enabling these. Ideally you’ll have HRIS implementation or systems evolution experience.
- Experience of providing HR policy and process advice to a broad variety of stakeholders; including Senior Management.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset; ideally with a passion for technology.
- Excellent attention to detail and a completer-finisher mindset; able to collaborate effectively and co-ordinate others where needed.
- Strong written and spoken (English) communication skills.
We make hiring decisions based on your experience and skills, as well as on how you can enhance UP3 and our culture. Don’t meet all of our criteria? If you like our story and think you have what it takes to make an impact – let us know! We value fresh and diverse perspectives, and the benefits that a broader skillset and a great attitude can bring.
