Job Title: iOS Engineer

Location: Birmingham, UK ( 5 days a week onsite)

Duration: 12 months contract

About the Role

We are looking for an iOS Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our mobile development team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, and the iOS ecosystem, with a passion for building high-quality, scalable, and user-focused mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, and Async/Await.
• Integrate modern Swift-based features with existing Objective-C legacy modules.
• Build and maintain high-performance, user-friendly iOS applications.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to deliver sprint-ready solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Optimize application UI performance, responsiveness, memory usage, and rendering across a wide range of iOS devices.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to modular, maintainable, testable, and clean architecture.
• Use Xcode Instruments to identify and resolve memory, performance, and rendering issues.
• Participate in technical discussions, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to continuous improvements in the mobile development process.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Strong programming experience with Swift and Objective-C.
• Hands-on experience with SwiftUI and UIKit.
• Strong understanding of the iOS SDK and Apple development ecosystem.
• Experience integrating modern Swift code with legacy Objective-C applications/modules.
• Strong knowledge of async programming, concurrency, and reactive programming.
• Experience developing scalable, maintainable, and performance-focused mobile applications.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React Native alongside native iOS development.
• Experience with Combine and Swift Concurrency (Async/Await).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of mobile application performance optimization and debugging.
