Technical Project Manager- AI/ ML - #26-00191

Duration: 12 months contract

Pay Range: 38 – 42 GBP /hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to support AI and research programmes within a fast-paced technology environment. Your current role as a Technical Program Manager II at Amazon, where you provide engineering and execution leadership for data analytics and AI solutions, aligns well with this position. The role involves coordinating researchers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects progress smoothly, milestones are met, and blockers are resolved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project plans, milestones, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate across AI/ML research, engineering, legal, policy, communications, and product teams.
• Identify and remove project blockers and manage competing priorities.
• Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates.
• Support resource/capacity planning and technical programme coordination.
• Build strong relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• 2–4 years' experience in Project Management, Technical PM, Programme Coordination, or Research Operations.
• Technical exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, Recommendation Systems, Data Mining, Pattern Recognition, or Research Engineering.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong stakeholder management, organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
