Location: Manchester, UK ( Hybrid Work mode, Thrice a week at office)

Job Description:

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing tests to ensure our products meet high-quality standards before release. As part of an Agile SCRUM team , you will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver software that meets business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within an Agile SCRUM team to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Review business requirements and define test conditions based on acceptance criteria .
  • Plan and execute various testing phases, including functional, non-functional, and regression testing .
  • Communicate effectively with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders .
  • Provide accurate QA task estimates and assess the impact of changes on testing efforts.
  • Design and execute test cases , track defects, and analyze results.
  • Monitor test progress and report against planned timelines.
  • Manage QA and UAT environments , including builds and deployments.
  • Support the implementation of automated testing strategies .
  • Maintain and update regression test packs .
  • Assist business users with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) .
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and introduce best practices .
  • Ensure compliance with company policies , including data protection, equal opportunities, and health & safety .

What We’re Looking For:

Experience & Knowledge:

  • 5+ years of experience as a QA/Test Analyst in an Agile SCRUM environment.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps and working with Azure Test Plans .
  • Knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies .
  • Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and testing best practices .
  • Ability to define test techniques for both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience in Salesforce testing .
  • (Bonus) Experience in the Energy Retail sector (Gas and Power) is a plus!
