Location: Manchester, UK ( Hybrid Work mode, Thrice a week at office)
Job Description:
We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing tests to ensure our products meet high-quality standards before release. As part of an Agile SCRUM team , you will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver software that meets business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within an Agile SCRUM team to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Review business requirements and define test conditions based on acceptance criteria .
- Plan and execute various testing phases, including functional, non-functional, and regression testing .
- Communicate effectively with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders .
- Provide accurate QA task estimates and assess the impact of changes on testing efforts.
- Design and execute test cases , track defects, and analyze results.
- Monitor test progress and report against planned timelines.
- Manage QA and UAT environments , including builds and deployments.
- Support the implementation of automated testing strategies .
- Maintain and update regression test packs .
- Assist business users with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) .
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and introduce best practices .
- Ensure compliance with company policies , including data protection, equal opportunities, and health & safety .
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Experience & Knowledge:
- 5+ years of experience as a QA/Test Analyst in an Agile SCRUM environment.
- Experience using Azure DevOps and working with Azure Test Plans .
- Knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies .
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and testing best practices .
- Ability to define test techniques for both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience in Salesforce testing .
- (Bonus) Experience in the Energy Retail sector (Gas and Power) is a plus!
