Business Development Executive - Apprenticeships

We are currently taking expressions of interest for a Business Development Executive in Apprenticeships.

Your aim will be to drive growth in apprenticeship programmes by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with employers, and supporting learners through recruitment and onboarding. This role is pivotal in expanding the reach and impact of apprenticeship offerings.

Having a passion for sales, people and processes, you will form part key part of the Apprenticeship Team to achieve USPs strategic objectives. Working to challenging KPIs and tight deadlines, you will seek out new business, whilst managing existing key accounts. Exceeding customer expectations is an essential outcome of the role, through excellent client engagement which develops new and existing relationships.

Job Role:
    • Align with the Curriculum Lead to drive apprenticeship business growth, meeting sales targets and developing strong client relationships across apprenticeships, training, coaching, and consultancy.
    • Generate new apprenticeship opportunities with both levy and non-levy employers, producing creative proposals and coordinating closely with operations on compliance and onboarding.
    • Manage learner engagement by overseeing the Apprenticeship Service Account, advertising vacancies, interviewing candidates, and maintaining accurate CRM records.
    • Engage employers through training needs analysis, vacancy identification, cost negotiation, contract agreement, and support with onboarding and Digital Apprenticeship Service requirements.
    • Maintain employer relationships throughout the learner journey, including conducting exit reviews and identifying opportunities to expand services.




The right candidate will have:

Essential:
  • GCSE in Maths & English
  • Driving Licence (required to visit employers)
  • Proven experience in sales, ideally in education or training
  • High standards of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.

Desirable:
  • Level 3 Qualification in Information, Advice & Guidance
  • Understanding of apprenticeship funding and regulatory frameworks
