Role: MuleSoft Architect

Location: Nottingham (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)

Contract (Inside IR35) or Fixed‐Term Employment

We are looking for a highly experienced MuleSoft Architect to design and deliver enterprise‐grade integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This is a strategic, hands‐on role where you will define integration architecture, lead complex implementations, and enable scalable, secure connectivity across core enterprise systems.

You will act as a technical authority for integration, working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to ensure robust, future‐ready solutions.

The Role:

  • Architect and lead end‐to‐end enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Design and implement API‐led connectivity architectures, spanning Experience, Process, and System APIs.
  • Develop scalable, high‐quality REST and SOAP APIs and reusable integration components.
  • Lead data transformation and mapping activities using DataWeave.
  • Integrate Salesforce and wider enterprise platforms, including ERP systems, databases, and SaaS applications.
  • Define and implement robust error handling, logging, monitoring, and resiliency strategies.
  • Ensure strong API security through OAuth, JWT, policy enforcement, and governance standards.
  • Drive optimisation of integration performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Own deployment and delivery pipelines, including CI/CD, environment strategy, and release management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and production issues, providing sustainable long‐term fixes.
  • Provide technical leadership through design reviews, mentoring, and best‐practice guidance across integration teams.

  • Extensive development and integration experience, with deep expertise in MuleSoft.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering API‐led enterprise integration architectures.
  • Strong hands‐on capability with Anypoint Platform, DataWeave, and API lifecycle management.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with broader enterprise ecosystems.
  • Solid understanding of security, performance, and scalability in distributed systems.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable influencing at senior and executive levels.
  • A pragmatic, delivery‐focused mindset with a passion for quality and governance.
