Role: Senior Business Analyst – Finance Systems
Type of employment: Fixed Term Contract for 12 months
Location: Leeds
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a key leadership role within our client's Finance Systems and Transformation team.
As a senior member of the team, you will drive complex initiatives, influence business decisions, and shape the future of finance platforms and processes across the organisation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in transformation environments and is passionate about delivering strategic change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end business analysis lifecycle across complex finance system initiatives
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define vision, scope, and strategic objectives
- Translate business strategy into scalable, high-quality functional and technical requirements
- Mentor and support junior Business Analysts, promoting best practices and consistency
- Drive process optimisation and continuous improvement across finance operations
- Evaluate solution options (process, system, and data) and provide strategic recommendations
- Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and delivery teams in Agile environments
- Ensure alignment between business priorities and technology delivery
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions, and decision-making forums
- Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities across transformation programmes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst within complex environments
- Strong domain expertise in finance processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash)
- Proven track record delivering finance transformation / ERP programmes
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, including engagement at senior leadership level
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery environments
- Ability to lead workshops, influence decisions, and drive outcomes
Key Skills:
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Financials or similar ERP platforms
- Exposure to large-scale finance system modernisation programmes
- Knowledge of data modelling, reporting, and analytics tools
- Experience working in global or matrix organisations
