Senior React Native Developer
Location: Nottingham, UK (hybrid)

We are looking for a Senior React Native Developer to join our mobile engineering team and play a key role in delivering scalable, high‐performance mobile applications. You will collaborate across distributed teams, take ownership of mobile initiatives, and help drive technical excellence and best practices across the mobile ecosystem. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with mobile and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-impact features and enhancements
- Partner effectively with distributed teams to drive alignment, communication, and high-quality outcomes
- Design and implement robust, scalable mobile solutions using React Native
- Promote engineering excellence through maintainable, testable code and strong testing practices
- Optimise applications for performance, responsiveness, and scalability across platforms
- Support and mentor team members, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and growth
- Take ownership of end-to-end delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality execution of mobile initiatives
- Leverage CI/CD tools (e.g., Bitrise) to automate testing, build, and deployment processes
- Stay current with emerging technologies, including advancements in AI, and identify opportunities to enhance mobile development practices
- Contribute to clear, accessible technical documentation and knowledge-sharing activities
- Participate in an on-call rotation (post-probation) to support critical mobile services
What You Will Bring:
- Extensive experience in mobile application development using React Native
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript, with in-depth knowledge of React Native frameworks and libraries
- Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and related tools
- Strong understanding of testing strategies, including unit and end-to-end testing (e.g., Detox)
- Experience working with version control systems such as Git
- Familiarity with performance optimisation and debugging techniques in mobile applications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Firebase
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Sentry, Crashlytics)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile deployments
- Experience working effectively within distributed or global teams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to a range of stakeholders
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
