The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly successful Public Sector Client Director to drive strategic growth across an established portfolio of public sector customers while developing and securing new business opportunities.
This is a senior sales leadership role for an individual with a proven track record of selling complex technology solutions and services into the UK public sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing executive-level relationships, identifying customer challenges and positioning the full breadth of Trustmarque Ultima's portfolio to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Cyber security will be a key focus area; however, the role requires the ability to identify, develop and close opportunities across our entire portfolio, including professional services, managed services, cloud, infrastructure, software and digital transformation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop a portfolio of strategic public sector accounts, driving revenue growth and long-term customer value.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across central government, local government, healthcare, education and the wider public sector.
- Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned to customer objectives and Trustmarque Ultima's growth plans.
- Position and sell cyber security solutions, consulting services, managed security services and cyber transformation programmes.
- Drive opportunities across the wider Trustmarque Ultima portfolio, including:
- Cyber Security
- Professional Services
- Managed Services
- Cloud Solutions
- Infrastructure & Networking
- Software & Licensing
- Digital Workplace
- AI & Emerging Technologies
- Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CISOs, IT Directors, Digital Transformation Leaders, Procurement Teams and Executive Stakeholders.
- Leverage public sector frameworks and procurement routes to create and accelerate sales opportunities.
- Lead complex sales engagements from opportunity creation through to contract award and account expansion.
- Work closely with technical, pre-sales and delivery teams to develop compelling customer solutions.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management and account planning disciplines.
- Represent Trustmarque Ultima within the public sector technology community through events, customer engagements and industry networking.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Proven track record in a senior technology sales, account management or business development role.
- Significant experience selling technology solutions and services into the UK Public Sector.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement frameworks and buying processes.
- Demonstrable success in winning and growing high-value public sector accounts.
- Experience selling cyber security solutions and services.
- Ability to sell complex multi-vendor and multi-service technology solutions.
- Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and executive decision-makers.
- Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Consistent history of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Desirable
- Experience working for a leading technology reseller, systems integrator, managed service provider or technology consultancy.
- Knowledge of Crown Commercial Service (CCS), G-Cloud, Technology Services, NHS and Local Government procurement frameworks.
- Existing network of public sector contacts and decision-makers.
- Experience selling managed services, professional services, cloud and digital transformation programmes.
