Sales Director – Programmatic (Independent Agencies & HoldCos)
Location: Hybrid (3 days in the office)
£85,000 base + £30,000–£40,000 bonus
The opportunity
We’re hiring a Sales Director to drive growth across independent agencies and holding company groups. This is a high-impact, front-line commercial role for someone who can open doors, build senior agency relationships, and convert a strong programmatic proposition into consistent revenue.
You’ll own a defined agency patch, run deals end-to-end, and partner closely with internal teams to ensure delivery, retention and expansion. The expectation is simple: build a serious pipeline, close business, and grow accounts intelligently.
Key responsibilities
- Own and grow revenue across a portfolio of independent agencies and HoldCo groups
- Deliver net-new business: prospecting, outreach, discovery, pitching and closing
- Build senior relationships across Trading, Programmatic, Investment, Planning and Client Leadership
- Run a full, structured sales cycle: qualification → solutioning → proposal → negotiation → close
- Create and execute account plans: whitespace mapping, stakeholder mapping, penetration strategy
- Maintain strong commercial cadence: pipeline creation, accurate forecasting, CRM discipline
- Partner with trading/client services/product teams to ensure smooth onboarding, delivery and renewals
- Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities and expand existing agency accounts
- Represent the business externally at agency meetings, industry events and key partner forums
- Provide market feedback internally: competitor intel, pricing pressure, agency trends, product asks
Experience required
- Demonstrable track record selling programmatic / digital media solutions into media agencies
- Evidence of consistent new business performance and commercial account growth
- Credible with senior agency stakeholders; confident challenging, presenting and negotiating
- Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem (e.g., DSPs, supply paths, measurement, PMPs, data/audience)

- Pipeline discipline: proven ability to build predictable revenue through structured activity and forecasting
- Comfortable in a fast-growth environment with autonomy, pace and high expectations
